These two young ladies were on their way to the next village to sell apples, so we gave them a ride on our way to Alca. We were amazed that they were able to carry all five sacks! During the ride, they got their first taste of western music and could only smile in confusion. Soon after the youngest became car sick. She blamed it on the curvy roads, but I think it was the music that did it.
Once we reached Alca, the town came to a stand still. People walked out of their houses, sat on the sidewalk and stared for what seemed like hours. They were confused why we were there. Little did they know, this is the experience we seek.
